Browser Wars

A web browser is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web. An information resource is identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and may be a web page, image, video, or other piece of content.

For most popular web browsers are: Explorer,  Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome.

Browser wars is a metaphorical term that refers to competitions for dominance in usage share in the web browser marketplace. What drives the competion between the browers is usage share, the marketplace, and if its free!

The big deal in having the number one browsers is publicity, availablity, speed, respect, and in being number one more people will access the internet though that browser.
